Hello Pediatrics is Fully Integrated with many Primary Care Providers

Answers to your frequently asked questions can be found here.
If your child is experiencing a life-threatening condition or medical emergency, call 911 immediately or go to your nearest emergency room.
What is pediatric telehealth?
Pediatric telehealth provides clinical care to children without an in-person office visit. Through your phone, computer, or tablet, speak with a pediatrician who can evaluate your child’s current medical issue and provide expert diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
When should I come to Hello Pediatrics?
Hello Pediatrics is designed to complement the care given by your child’s pediatrician with comfortable, after hours solutions. We are integrated with most primary care providers and offer a convenient, streamlined telehealth alternative to emergency room or urgent care visits for children who need to be seen when their pediatrician is unavailable.

What age patients do you treat?
We provide care for any child through 21, including infants.
How does Hello Pediatrics work with your pediatrician?
After a virtual care visit, our clinicians send a detailed summary to your pediatrician so they can have a complete medical record of your child and request follow-up care if needed.
How is Hello Pediatrics different from an ERor urgent care visit?
Hello Pediatrics is focused on caring for children in the comfort of their homes through after-hours telehealth care. Our services are often less expensive and more efficient than a trip to the emergency room or urgent care facility.
Do I need a referral from my pediatrician?
Because we are a local pediatric telehealth provider who partners with your pediatrician, you do not need a referral from your pediatrician to use our services.
How long will my visit take?
Each virtual care visit is different, depending on your child’s condition. Wait and care times are generally shorter than an in-office visit.
What medical conditions are NOT appropriate for Hello Pediatrics?
Medical emergencies, seizures, and serious chronic conditions typically require an in-person evaluation, and we don’t recommend seeking out our telehealth care services for these circumstances.
How much does Hello Pediatrics cost?
With Insurance
Most health plans will cover telehealth services, depending on your benefits. Some plans cover telehealth visits if they’re held on pre-approved video platforms. Just like any doctor’s visit, you will be responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance.
Others cover telehealth with third-party providers.
Medicare and Medicaid have expanded their telehealth and telemedicine coverage. Medicare will pay for office, hospital, and other visits with a wide range of providers, such as doctors, nurse practitioners, and licensed social workers.
Without Insurance
A Hello Pediatrics consultation with a doctor is typically less expensive than in-person visits or calls. The average cost of a telehealth visit for acute respiratory infection (such as a sinus infection, laryngitis, or bronchitis) was $79 compared to $146 for an in-person visit.
When you consider the time and gas you save driving to a doctor’s office, the cost of telehealth may be well worth the service. However, some low-cost telehealth providers charge more for prescription refills.
